Projects completed in 2011
Included here is the documentation of 3 solo exhibitions and some other things I did in 2011.
Wood push wood is an installation consisting of a 14' high loop the loop, 2 skate 'bumps' and a large flat bank. All pieces for this installation were built from recycled wood in the week leading up to the opening reception. At the end of the exhibition it was demolished by gallery staff and volunteers.
A serpentine double-loop accompanied by a double bump and a wall piece. This installation was built over 2 weeks in situ in Open Space Gallery from salvaged wood and paint. At the end of the exhibition it was torn down and removed by gallery staff and volunteers.
This installation was created in conjunction with the Open Sky Festival in Ft. Simpson. Built from donated salvaged wood and soaked, semi-rotted wood available at the local hardware store and painted with donated paint and mis-tints, installation was removed and re salvaged by local residents or brought to the local dump for recycling
Some other things I worked on in 2011 were some publicly installed ramps around London, Ontario and a few painting and drawing projects.
